A New "Fast Growing" Program at Scholars'

Scholars' won a $5,000 grant in 2020 from the NYC Sustainability Department. With this money our school partnered with Sprout by Design and bought a hydroponic tower. No one on our Green Team or in our school had ever used a tower before, so we also purchased training. Sprout by Design came to our school and trained about 15 Green Team students on how to build and operate the hydroponic tower. And we grew lots of greens!!!!! But Covid set us back. We had to shut down.
