At Home/DIY
Here are some things you can do yourself to take your own environmental initiative:
Bike More, Drive Less
Bikes not only produce no carbon emissions, but also encourage healthy habits!
Conserve Water
The less water you use, the less wastewater and runoff will end up in the ocean.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three "R's" to conserve natural resources, and landfill space.
Volunteer
Volunteer for cleanups in your community. Getting involved not only allows you to clean the earth, but you can earn Community Service Hours too!
Educate
When you further your own education, you can help others understand the importance and value of our natural resources.
Choose Sustainable
Sustainable Products are more durable, reusable, less toxic, less resource-intensive, and safer for the environment, wildlife, and people.
Shop Wisely
Buy less plastic and purchase a reusable shopping bag instead! These bags are better for the environment, save money, save resources, de-clutter your house, and are overall more durable.
Long Lasting Light-bulbs
Energy Efficient Light-bulbs help reduce Green House Gas Emissions. If you can't do this, you can also do smaller tasks, such as flipping the light switch off when you leave the room!
Plant a Tree
Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help combat climate change.
Don't use chemicals
Make sure to choose nontoxic chemicals for cleaning, (that don't harm the environment)!
